How this calculator works
We estimate three components of the cost that unverified field visits impose on your business:
- Lost collections: when a visit is skipped or faked, the collection either does not happen or is delayed. We assume a conservative recovery of 60% on the average expected collection per visit.
- Reconciliation time: chasing which visits actually happened costs supervisor hours. We value that time at ₹300/hr as a floor rate for a mid-level supervisor.
- Reported vs actual visit gap: industry data across Indian microfinance and distribution puts the fake-visit rate at 20–30%. Adjust the slider if you have your own audit number.
